John Boyne succeeds Marie Vingtras, the 2024 winner for “Les âmes féroces”, published by Éditions de L’Olivier.
In “The Elements”, the Irish author explores, through four interwoven stories, the invisible forces that shape our lives and examines our relationship with guilt and innocence, wounds and resilience. With clear and captivating prose, John Boyne delves into the elements and human beings to reveal their contradictions and vulnerabilities.
Since 2002, the Fnac Novel Prize shortlist—selected by 400 Fnac booksellers and 400 Fnac members—has highlighted talented writers while celebrating the diversity of contemporary literary creation, whether in French or in translation.
