Fnac Darty rolls out the first Product Passport on the market

A pioneer in Europe, Fnac Darty is extending the Product Passport to its entire range of large household appliances. This is a major innovation in terms of traceability, repair, and the development of the circular economy. The Group aims to have more than 1 million products equipped with this passport by the end of 2026.

The Product Passport extends the lifespan of appliances

Thanks to a unique QR code, the Product Passport gives customers access to all the essential information about an appliance, from its manufacture to its recycling:

  • Technical specifications (origin, consumption, dimensions, etc.);
  • Complete life cycle history;
  • User manual;
  • Simplified appointment scheduling with Darty repair teams;
  • Details of repairs carried out (date, nature, parts replaced, repairer).

The Product Passport is affixed to all large household appliances sold or handled by Darty at different stages of the life cycle: manufacture, delivery, home repair, reconditioning in the Group’s workshops.

An interoperable solution for the entire ecosystem

The Product Passport was developed in collaboration with ecosystem and Arianee to create a common standard for all players in a product’s life cycle: manufacturers, distributors, repairers, reconditioners, and recyclers.

With the Product Passport, Fnac Darty confirms its role as the European leader in sustainability.
