Fnac Darty Joins the “Je choisis la French Tech” Program

On the occasion of the 2026 edition of VivaTech, Fnac Darty is demonstrating its support for the French innovation ecosystem by officially joining the “Je choisis la French Tech” program. Alongside eight other major groups, Fnac Darty joins 14 companies already committed to this initiative, creating a powerful collective momentum and aiming to exceed 2 billion euros in purchases from French startups

A Strategic Lever for Technological Sovereignty

Launched three years ago as part of the French Tech initiative, this program aims to make public and private procurement a concrete driver of growth for French startups and scale-ups. This is an ambition shared by Fnac Darty to accelerate the transformation of its business lines, as part of its strategic plan for 2030, “Beyond everyday.”

“We are pleased to be part of this collective drive for innovation and to accelerate collaborations with French startups. French Tech is also taking on a more global dimension with the ‘Choose European Tech’ initiative, which extends this same ambition to European countries where Fnac Darty also operates. Technological sovereignty must indeed be approached on a European scale.”

Logistics, Tech, Sustainability: 3 Examples of Collaborations with French Startups

For Fnac Darty, this commitment is already being put into practice through promising industrial and technological partnerships.

1. Circular Economy and Transparency with Arianee

As a pioneer in sustainability, Fnac Darty rolled out the product passport across its entire line of major appliances in early 2026. Developed in collaboration with the startup Arianee, this traceability solution equips appliances with a unique digital ID to give consumers a complete overview of a product’s life cycle before purchase: specifications, life cycle history, user manual, and more. This solution aims to improve traceability and remove barriers to purchasing refurbished products.

2. Eco-Friendly Automation with Exotec

At our warehouse in Massy (Essonne, France), we are currently deploying a Goods-to-Man system in collaboration with Exotec, a leading French robotics company, to improve the management of toy and game inventory flows. What sets this innovative project apart is its use of pre-owned robots that have been fully refurbished by Exotec. The initial results confirm a clear goal: to combine operational performance with the circular economy.

3. Cutting-Edge Retail Media with Kamino Retail

Since 2023, our integrated advertising network, Retailink, has been using Kamino Retail’s technology to monetize our advertising offerings across all our websites. This partnership has enabled Retailink to establish itself as the first advertising network in Europe to market on-site retail media video formats, enhanced with off-site audience extension activations.
