The Île-de-France Region has entrusted Fnac Darty with the repair and maintenance of the computers in Europe’s largest educational IT fleet for the 2026–2027 school year: nearly 470 public high schools, more than 535,000 high school students, and 170,000 computers distributed annually (devices supplied by ASUS). Drop-off and pickup will take place at 24 Fnac stores in the Île-de-France region, with repairs guaranteed within a maximum of 10 days, centralized at the Noisy-le-Grand repair center (90 experts, 65,000 repairs per year). This contract reaffirms the Group’s logistical expertise; it was already France’s leading repair provider in 2025, having repaired 2.6 million products.
The Fnac Darty Group has been selected by the Île-de-France Region to provide repair and maintenance services for the computers made available to high school students and teachers in the Île-de-France region. This is an unprecedented industrial and logistical project, designed to support Europe’s largest educational computer fleet.
A Major Partnership for Europe’s Largest Educational IT Fleet
The Île-de-France Region’s digital policy aims to ensure equal opportunities in the digital realm by providing widespread equipment to students and teachers. Since the program’s launch in 2019, nearly one million digital devices have already been deployed in the region.
For the start of the 2026–2027 school year, in coordination with ASUS—the brand selected to supply the devices—Fnac Darty is putting its logistics expertise to work for this large-scale project, which includes:
- Nearly 470 public high schools.
- More than 535,000 high school students in the Île-de-France region.
- An average of 170,000 computers distributed each year.

How does the repair service work for families in the Île-de-France region?
The program relies on the Group’s extensive regional network. The process has been designed to be as seamless and fast as possible:
- Local convenience: Equipment can be dropped off and picked up at any of the 24 Fnac stores located throughout the Île-de-France region. The vast majority of high schools are located less than 25 minutes from a drop-off point.
- Fast turnaround: The goal is to ensure repairs and return to service within a maximum of ten days after the request is approved.
- Full coverage: For areas furthest from urban centers, alternative logistics solutions are offered to guarantee this service to all users.
Noisy-le-Grand: Industrial Expertise in the Service of the Circular Economy
All computers in this program will be processed and repaired at Fnac Darty’s specialized workshop in Noisy-le-Grand (Seine-Saint-Denis). By centralizing repairs locally, the Group combines operational responsiveness with a reduction in the carbon footprint associated with transportation. This industrial hub is a flagship of Fnac Darty’s excellence:
- It employs nearly 90 experts.
- It performs more than 65,000 repairs on tech products (computers, tablets, smartphones) per year.
